Chain of custody

The evidence burns with the case.

Your host sets the burn timer — 1 to 90 days after the party (30 by default) — and you can always take your own file with you, or shred it early.

A mystery built from your friends' real answers only works if everyone knows exactly where those answers go. Short version: into the game, and nowhere else.

What we keep

Nothing past the burn.

Your friends' survey answers — and every scrap of context fed into the mystery — live until your host's burn timer runs out: 1 to 90 days after the party (30 by default). When the clock hits zero, the case file is deleted automatically. Hosts can burn it early. Not archived. Not repurposed. Discarded. The case closes, the evidence burns.

What you keep

Your own dossier.

What you wrote about yourself belongs to you. Your own dossier and profile data are exportable — download them, keep them, and reuse them to seed future games. New party, new plot, same suspiciously well-documented you.

What stays private during play

Secrets stay on your phone.

During the game, each player's private details stay on their own phone — your role, your alibi, your secrets. The host's device is the only screen with sensitive info on it, which is why good hosts guard the console like it's the murder weapon. No one else's screen can betray you. Only your acting can.

The fine print

Actually fine.

The lawyer-readable versions exist, and they say the same things with more numbered clauses. Read the Privacy Policy for the data specifics and the Terms of Service for everything else. No surprises in either — that's the point.
