Party night

File 04 / 12

Investigation

Three beats a round: vote someone into the Hot Seat, dig for clues on them, then interrogate.

Each round runs in three beats

Investigation runs like a game show. Every round goes vote, investigate, interrogate — in that order — and then the table talks it out before the next vote.

01

Vote who takes the Hot Seat. Last round’s target is immune.

02

Everyone else chases a lead on that person. The clue lands on their phone alone.

03

Only then does the suspect take 120 seconds of questioning — from a table that already knows what it found.

What a lead can return

  • Real evidence
  • Red herring
  • Dead end

Nothing is announced to the room — not what was found, not who found it, not even whether anything was found at all. What you learned is between you and your poker face.

Round cap

Investigation is capped at twice the player count. A table of six gets at most twelve rounds.
